Morteza Nemti Writing Task II #2-Airlines for the Rich Nowadays airlines provide more benefits to the rich, often achieving this by reducing areas used by the economy class to provide more comfort to the 1st class passengers. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your own opinion. Today's airlines just as any other business enterprises target higher income. To this end, they provide the rich with a different travel class, first class, a package of luxury and comfort undoubtedly including more space which will not only will this not avail the poor anything but also deprive them of their right to a pleasant travel. (So is what the business and even premium economy class do.) Been paid for as much lucrative tickets as possible, airlines still need those who could not afford the seats likes of which were sold to the wealthy. Ordinary seats are available then to not let the plane fly semi-empty. The fewer seats vacant, the more must be have been made out of the business. On one hand, this could be thought of as the result of market economy where as long as supply and demand balance, trades, or better said, exchange of money and services are considered satisfactory. On the other, is this not an unethical illegal privilege for the affluent, and if so, is it not a moral hazard? As the answer to the first question is no, the second question would remain unanswered. Free economy has been proved to be the best known system where the moneyed invest and others get employed. Wherever there is no privilege, there would be no investment, and hence the rise in the unemployment rate. In other words, while seated on a plane, deprived of benefits that the well off access, just imagine that you are investing the present the now, the moment of imperfectly travelling in holding your job.

As the number and size of companies grow, more elaborate methods of management are required to optimize resources available. Human workforce is a crucial component to every enterprise and can either bring their bosses great fortune or huge failure. Thus, many management experts suggest practicing different ways of reward and punishment to make the most out of human resources e.g. paying extra money for a special service. This these extra payments can cause inequality among employees and therefore envy can reduce the overall performance of a team. Employees who merit these extra pays/payments should be obsessively/meticulously/scrupulously chosen and there should be a clear and well defined criterion for receiving such rewards. Every single member of staff should have equal opportunities to receive the prize and obviously any indiscrimination might lead to destructive engagement. Although money can be a quite a reason for personnel to work harder, it can create an environment of fierce competition amongst employees which may negatively affect the end product of their work. In this regard other ways to encourage a person to have a higher performance may be inevitable. Nowadays many employers sell their incorporation stock shares as to their employees as a reward or a part of their salary. "All work no play makes Jack a dull doll boy", so other institutions have leisure facilities which can be made available to those staff with a higher than expected performance. An aspect of the intricate nature of management and the its prominent role in running a business smoothly and progressivelyng was discussed a bit in here. It is no doubt that money can be an irresistible aim for an employee to give more to his or her job, but it can also raise negative and non-unconstructive feelings among those with less interest in money. It should be noted that a diverse package of reward can encourage more people to improve their performance at their job.

In many countries the problem of drug-taking is increasing. Governments and the general public are particularly concerned about young people using illegal drugs such as marijuana, ecstasy and heroic. What methods could be used to prevent young people from taking drugs. Is it appropriate to send young drug-users to prison? Give reasons for your answer. Due to scientific advances promotions in different fields of study such as chemistry and pharmacy, most of the researchers find the chemical matters' constituents/components/ingredients easily. In addition, some of them mix different items together and make new substances . Some of which play a pivotal role in alleviating diseases' symptoms and some others are not useful and negatively affect consumers' mental or physic. One of the effective ways to decrease the number of users is advertising through ubiquitous medias such as TV programs. In this way, not only do individuals get familiar with different kinds of drugs, but also they are warned regarding the implications of becoming addicted to some habits/things in their life. Teaching at school, students are notifiedy about some side effects of opium. It means that increasing information of pupils associated with consuming drugs in a negative way is like a contributor in tackling this difficulty. That young generations are free to choose their favorites is an undeniable fact, hence they can shape their favorite lifestyle based on the atmosphere and their outlook on life. Thus, guiding under aged peoples' mind and teaching them not to consume drugs is better than making imposing limitations and obligations. In contrast, from some researchers' point of view introducing harsher sentences leads to decreasing declining the incidence quantity of addictioned people in society. For instance, punishing drug-dealers or persuading managers of companies to avoid recruiting addicted people. anOther notable solution is exposing young generations to a variety of hobbies such as aqua parks, well equipped sport centers, cinemas and theater hall salons and encourage them to do exercise regularly. The question about whether imprisoning young addictsed is an effective solution or not has sparked a heated debate among people. I, personally, believe that sentding to jail, addicts they become completely disappointed about their future. Furthermore, they would establish a relationship with some delinquents who could negatively affect afflict them and even learn doing worse deeds that had been completely unknown to them before. Society had better consider them patients/sick members and try to treat/cure them. To this end, at first authorities should find these members of the public. They can send employees to take blood experiments regularly after knowing the consumers, they can provide them with some psychological courses that remind recall them there are numerous people like their friends and blood relatives who are waiting for to them to define a deadline for to them. And then the second examination reveals that what how many percentages gave up using. On the whole, drug-users are not offenders and should not be sentd to prisons. It is better to treat them like patients.

Many people go abroad for higher studies. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages ? These days studying abroad has become highly popular among university students. They prefer to continue their education in foreign countries which has its own pros and cons. To begin with, I am going to mention some advantages of this decision. Studying abroad is an excellent opportunity to get to know another culture and broaden experience which is often only obtained by living in the destined country. Furthermore, students will have the chance to meet people from different countries and backgrounds, so they will be able to share their ideas in different topics. In addition, students can learn a new language. Not only is this a new skill, but also this will help them to become more like a local. The other positive point that must be mentioned is the independence that studying in a foreign country brings to students. They will learn how to stand on their own feet and tackle problems. On the other hand, there are some disadvantages of studying abroad. Culture shock could be considered the most important one. They must learn how to adapt themselves to the new environment and behave according to the host country's rules and regulations. this process may take a long time and usually students feel a bit disappointed during this period. Moreover, learning a new language could be quite challenging for some individuals who do not know even a word of it. In conclusion, studying in a foreign country is a big decision and has its benefits and drawbacks. All the aspects of it must be considered by students before taking any action.

2. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is easier to become an educated person today than it was in the past. Use reasons and examples to support your position. Learning is one of the issues that every person has to face it. Nowadays, everything is changing differently from the past. In my opinion, it's much simpler to turn into a the scholarly person than it was in the past long ago. I take this view on account of the following reasons. To begin with, the number of universities has been increased and because of that more people can go to the university. In addition, there is a lot of variety for the majors. In the past, there were are a few majors but today the people can participate in a large range of academic programs. At some universitiesy, you can take online courses so you don't have to go to university and study directly. Hence, you can work and study at the same time which is quiet good for the people whom theirwhose age is much bigger than the usual student. You can also apply for foreign countriesy and study abroad. In the past, it was is more difficult to study abroad. As the part of the world is more connected to each other by the internet, it's much undemanding to search and see others' articles so an educated people are more connected and in larger numbers increased than any other time. Some people think that universities should provide graduates with the knowledge and skills needed in the workplace. Others think that the true function of a university should be to give access to knowledge for its own sake, regardless of whether the course is useful to an employer. What, in your opinion, should be the main function of a university? Education is more important in the modern era than it was before, and universities play vital role rule in people's future. it is a general belief that universities prepare students for their career despite the fact that of it some people argue that the main attention of if the university should been focused on improving their knowledge. There is no doubt ,People are living in a competitive, developed world. people mostly go to universities because not only do they want to find a decent job in future but also they want to ensure their financial success. These days all different companies are looking for talented people who are has well equipped with all necessary knowledge and experiments. Not only do they want to their employees to do their job as the best way they can but also they want to have additional skills to different kinds of tasks. Also, people always looking for a well paid jobs to secure their future. In my belief universities should hold workshops and practical programs in their programs. Because the more practical students are, the more job opportunities are provided for them. For example those students who go to the nursing school have a goal to become a successful one, they have to learn how to use their knowledge in their practical ways . and it is feasible albeit with hard working. So if universities only focused on improving their knowledge after graduation they will be confused and what these approaches would bring about is a society full of unprofessional workers. To sum up , I personally think not only should they teach them correctly but also they have to enhance their work experiments. The more educated people are the more advantageous is it for society. I think basic knowledge and skills should be granted for graduates from universities to support them in future.

These days, people are living into their 90's and beyond. As a result, there is an increasing concern about care for the elderly. Do you think it is the responsibility of the family to take care for their elderly member or should the government be held responsible? Due to medical science developments people are able to live longer than they do did before. The Unavoidable consequence of such developments is a large number of old people in society who needs caring and sharing. The problem is whether the government or the person's family should be responsible for providing health and other life amenities for old people, is a controversial issue. To begin with, many people in modern lifestyles shirk their responsibility for taking care of with their parents for taking care of them. Some people are of the opinion that our parents who once unconditionally sacrificeding their life and money when we were a child do not deserved to be left leaving alone in home for the aged even if we cannot afford their expenditure. In other words, not only do they need caring, but they also require our affection. On the other hand, some people believe that it is incumbent on governments to undertake the caretaking of senior citizens who have paid payed taxes and insurance when they were working. Hence, it is government's turn to pay for retired people lest their family will face problems. To exemplify, in modern society people have numerous problems namely, providing a proper house and having a stable job so, the situation would be tougher if they had have to takeing care of their old parents who needs attention along with /in parallel with frequent medical check-up. By way of conclusion, there are strong arguments on both sides of the debate. After analyzing I opine that it is a multi-duty task and if a family is able to take care of elderly members, it would be not fair to leave them alone exactly the time they need us.

Employers sometimes ask people applying for jobs for personal information such as their hobbies and interests and whether they are married or single. Some people say that this information may be relevant and useful. Others disagree. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. It is very/quite common to fill out the application forms which are full of questions for gaining a job. These forms vary from one firm to another. But nowadays, the questions about personal information are similar in most of them. To a great extent, I agree with these sorts of questions. From my point of view, these are not questions of people's private life and employers can benefit from some of them to inject incentives into their employees. For instance, asking for marital status is a good way to send a little gift or flower for saying congratulations on in the occasion of staff's anniversaries. Who would be inconvenient to for receiveing a gift? Also it will ring a bell for some staff who forget the date of their anniversaries. These kinds of manners, not only make people delighted, but also it can motivate them to work more energetically and be more loyal to their organization. Besides, there are queries about hobbies and interests in the application forms which might be useful in their line of job. In my estimation, these are practical questions to know about staff's tastes and spirits. For example, employers can offer pool tickets as a bonus to someone who is interested in swimming. Another reason for such questions is collecting statistics. In other words, they can find out the tendencies of people in different categories of education, age or gender for their leisure times. On the other hand, there are some people who are of the conviction that there is no relation between personal information and work life. They argue that employers ask about marital status or number of children to guess that to what extent these staff have responsibilities in their life and it will reduce their chance to get/gain the job. Furthermore, they suppose hobbies or interests belong to one's free time the pastime and they it will never interfere with their job. To wrap it up, I have the utter conviction that companies which ask the personal questions, are better to work for, because they pay attention to/attach importance to their staff and believe that employees' 's personal life is as important as their working life.

Employers sometimes ask people applying for jobs for personal information, such as their hobbies and interests, and whether they are married or single. Some people say that this information may be relevant and useful. Others disagree. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. In these expensive days, job requirement is increasing considerably. Besides, administrations choose their employees more strictly than before. From To my point of view this these information such as hobbies and interests and family situation cannot be the major values for selecting the professional candidate. According to my opinion, I surely disagree with the attitude and will discuss in the below paragraphs. First of all, moral obligationsnt such as: creativity, responsibility, authority and of course punctuality are more significant in comparisone/compared with what a person is interested in. The result of that is not only will a seeker with these attributes will be employed, but also she or he will be offered a financial rewarding. For instance, my boss always says "moral values play a key role in applying for a job". I'm sure I'm no expert but I completely agree with him. Further, on probation time when one is considered for a certain period of time, it's always clear whether that candidates are qualified enough for initial requirement or not. For example, a person who doesn't have enough ability in spite of being interested in working wouldn't be selected. Furthermore, to from my perspective being single or married cannot can not specify the capabilities., in addition, it doesn't have effect on his or her responsibilities. For example, we had a clerk who was so powerful in her job although married. although she was so powerful in her job. In conclusion although the number of requirements are rising raising, administrations should pay attention to character and potency as vital factors, when they tend to provide a harmonious and hospitable environment for their subordinates. There are a lot of people who are of idea that tourists visiting other countries are ought to respect the local rules and laws while some others are strongly against reasoning that this might have a negative impact on the tourism industry, and discourage travelers from visiting to visit those countries. When it comes to this notion, I hold the idea of respecting people in a way that no one is be offended. I will elaborate this in the following paragraphs in more details with relevant examples. Visiting a new place with even a slight difference in culture and way of living has always had its own attractions, and I think that is why the tourism industry is one of the most prosperous industries since years ago. However, we do not have to forget that in the host country, some people are not involved in tourism in anyway and visitors are not allowed to disturb their normal way of life. To clarify this point we know that in some parts of the world not only do not people not drink alcoholic beverages but also it is considered against their religious believesbeliefs. In such cases I think tourists must follow local rules and customs. On the other hand, there some others who claim that tourists must feel free to do anything in the host country. This group of people reason that local people are earning money from tourists, so they have to be open minded to even bizarre behaviors of their guests. They claim any restriction can lead to a dramatic decrease in of incoming rates of visitors, and this brings about a disaster to the businesses such as hotels, travel agencies, means of transportation and even restaurants. A very clear of this example is Thailand, in Thailandwhere people respect tourists and provide them with any kind of services they demand, and that is the secret of attracting millions of visitors from around the globe every day. To make a long story short, I think mutual respect is the best way of approaching this subject. I believe that both the visitors and the hosts have to respect each other, and any kind of disrespect or unfamiliar behaviors may result in a disaster. I wish for a day every human being respects the others, and I believe this is the only way to worldwide peace.
