Modern Technology has made it easier for individuals to download copyrighted music and books from the internet for no charge. To what extent is this positive or a negative development? It is undeniable that with the advancement of technology we have free unlimited access to the e-books and digital music, whereas it is not beneficial for the writers and the musicians. In my opinion, it is obviously a positive improvement for the users,. nevertheless, some laws should be imposed to protect the authors' and the producers' rights simultaneously. On the one hand, with the advent of the internet in our era, we are able to download all sources of recent books or music free of charge with quite a fast speed. Hence, the people have the possibility to get the source of knowledge more straightforward than before, and consequently, the public awareness is rising significantly economicallyin the economy way. The unemployed teenagers with no earning moneyor little income can listen to their favorite music online which is playingplays an amusing role in their lives and enriches them in their spare time. In addition, the digital copies occupy millimeters of space on magnetic disks. They are mobile and light to carry in our gadgets, so most people are encouraged to read more in their free time even in metros. The students are not obliged to go to the libraries in person for their assignments and they have the possibility to access digital libraries from their universities or their homes. On the other hand, the producers are not delighted with this progress, because nobody few will purchase the electronic books and the investmenting will not pay them back. In my view, firstly, the public should be educated to buy the produced digital products to support their authors and singers. Secondly, the publishers should sell these products at a low/reasonable price to encourage people not to copy or download from untrusted sites, because although they may be have easy access to various sites, they should be aware of any harm triggereding from viruses on their devices. Finally, the governments should impose some strict rules to protect the authors' and the singers' rights and supervise the users. In conclusion, the easy access to online digital resources has had a positive effect on our life especially for the students who can benefit from these in their studiesy and also amuse themselves by listening to their favorite music, nonetheless, the authors' and singers' rights should be protected by both the rise of public awareness and the governments by imposition of copyright's laws.
