The best solution can be recycling, in which case these seemingly useless materials can return to production cycles in order to prevent the environment from being destroyed. Some countries like Japan have has invested in producing electricity with these waste materials. Another possible solution is encouraging people to buy a large amount of food commensurate with their needsed such that they need not throw away plenty of them due to becoming rotten or expired.
