IELTS means International English Language Testing System and it is a test of English language proficiency. The test is designed to assess the language ability of non-native speakers of English who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication. In order to become an immigrant, study or work in USA, Canada, Australia and the majority of European countries, this certificate is needed. IELTS will evaluate the test takers in different criteria such as writing, speaking, reading and listening. Therefore, Immigrants must take the General IELTS test and the students are ought to take the Academic test.

IELTS برای فراگیرندگانی می باشد که زبان مادری آنها انگلیسی نیست و این آزمون برای کسانی که قصد مهاجرت، ادامه تحصیل ویا کار در آمریکا، کانادا، استرالیا و بسیاری از کشورهای اروپایی می باشد در نظر گرفته شده است. هدف این آزمون تعیین سطح تسلط دانشجو در زمینه های نوشتار، گفتار، درک مطلب متون مختلف وتوانایی شنیداری به زبان انگلیسی است. برای مهاجرت ،شرکت در تست General  و برای ادامه تحصیل تست Academic مورد نیاز خواهد بود
